Tangerang is a city in Indonesia. It is situated in Banten Province on Java Island. The city is a satellite town and bustling industrial hub, hosting over 1,000 factories. Given its proximity to Jakarta, many businesses have chosen to build or relocate their offices from Jakarta to Tangerang. Tangerang houses Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, which is Indonesia’s main airport. The city also has a significant Chinese Indonesian population. Tangerang’s tourist sights include the Al A'zhom Mosque, which is one of the largest mosques in the world, as well as its old town, which contains relics of the Peranakan Chinese culture and a 17th century Chinese temple.
