PHOENIX

Phoenix is the capital of the state of Arizona, located in the Southwest of the United States. It is also called the Valley of the Sun, being surrounded by mountains and receiving sunlight for most of the year. It is among the most crowded cities of the country. The city was established on lands left by the Antique Hohokam Civilization, and is represented by Arizona Coyotes in ice hockey, the Arizona Diamondbacks in baseball, the Phoenix Suns in basketball, and the Arizona Cardinals in American football. The Musical Instrument Museum, the Phoenix Art Museum, as well as Heard Museum for American Indian art, are among the most famous cultural buildings of Phoenix.
