NORTH LAS VEGAS

North Las Vegas is a city in the southeastern region of the US state of Nevada. Incorporated in 1946, it is located just northeast of Las Vegas. The city is near several prominent mountain ranges. It lies in the Las Vegas Valley, which is part of the Mojave Desert. Its economy has historically centered on distribution, but technology and renewable energy manufacturing have moved to the city in recent years. North Las Vegas is home to a campus of the College of Southern Nevada, and will soon be home to a branch of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
