MOST POPULOUS CITIES IN CALIFORNIA

The state of California has historically been one of the most populous states in the US. As of the 2010 census, California’s 37 million people makes it the most populous state in the country, 12 million people more than Texas at number two. The ranking of the state’s three most populous cities hasn’t changed since then. An odd fact is that the state’s capital, Sacramento, is only the sixth-biggest city in California. The state’s third-most populous city, with just under 1 million residents, is San Jose. The second, at about 1.3 million, is San Diego. And California’s most populous city has long been Los Angeles, with nearly 3.8 million residents.
