Marrakesh was the first capital of Morocco, and is one of the most visually inticing cities of North Africa. Due to the red-tinted walls of the city, it is called the“red city.” The city is divided into two parts, Medina and Gueliz, and the city’s richness of history can be seen in its palaces. The Menara Gardens, the Islamic Art Museum, the Koutoubia Mosque are among the historic buildings. The city’s multicultural structure is reflected in its cuisine. Marrakesh is surrounded by lemon, orange and olive gardens. The city has a mystic atmosphere and has attracted Hollywood producers.
