Khasab is an exclave city that belongs to Oman and borders the United Arab Emirates. It is the capital of the Musandam Governorate, and is dubbed as the “Norway of Arabia” due to its fjord-like mountain views. Khasab is a relatively small city compared to other cities or city states in the region, with a population of just over 17,000. Tourists visiting Khasab are often treated to dolphin watching trips in the waters around the Musandam or visit Telegraph Island. Khasab’s climate features very warm and humid summers and mild winters, which is peak tourist season and the best time to visit Oman.
