Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland, which is located in the northernmost part of Great Britain. Edinburgh is the first city in the world to have its own fire brigade. The Encyclopedia Brittanica was first published in Edinburgh. Edinburgh Castle, which was built on a rock, Holyrood Palace, and the Royal Botanic Gardens are among the important historical areas of the city. The Fringe Festival, one of the biggest art events in the world, occurs in Edinburgh, where the “Harry Potter” films were filmed.
