Dublin, located in the province of Leinster, is the largest city and the capital of Ireland. The city's name derives from the Classical Irısh "Dubhlind" which translates into English as "dark pool." Inhabited since prehistoric times, Dublin has a strong cultural heritage. It is the economic center of the country and one of the richest cities in the world by purchasing power. Besides hosting food processing and textile industries, Dublin has offices for well-known technology companies such as Amazon, eBay, Microsoft, and Google. The National Print Museum, the Clasac Center, The Chocolate Warehouse, and one of the most beautifully illustrated manuscripts of the Bible, the Book Of Kells, are attractions of Dublin. Famous playwrights Oscar Wilde and George Bernard Shaw, writers James Joyce, Jonathan Swift and Bram Stoker were born in Dublin.
