ALPBACH

Alpbach is a city in the state of Tyrol in western Austria, nicknamed "The Village of Thinkers" because of the annual Alpbach European Forum, which has welcomed leading figures in the fields of science, arts, politics, and business since 1945. The city is famous for being a tourist destination with its alpine setting, picturesque nature and outdoor sports activities, such as skiing, tobogganing, paragliding, hiking and cycling.
