Abu Dhabi is a city and the capital of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, and United Arab Emirates on the Persian Gulf coastline. Its name means "Father of the Gazelle" in Arabic. Housing the headquarters of the United Arab Emirates Government, and the Supreme Oil Council, the city is one of the most important hubs in the Emirates for politics, industry, culture, and commerce. "The Capital Gate Building" and "Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque" are among the widely known landmarks of the city, with modern hotels such as the"Emirates Palace," the"Jumeirah at Etihad Towers," and "Rosewood." The city's most important museums are the "Zayed National Museum," the "Manarat Al Saadiyat" and the "Emirates National Auto Museum," while the most sensational is the Abu Dhabi Louvre, housing da Vinci's "Salvator Mundi," one of the most expensive paintings in the world.
